1. Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related fields.
2. Work Experience, Key Skills & Competencies:
- 6 years of experience in banking, fintech, digital banking, or financial services, with at least 5 years in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of digital banking platforms, fintech trends, digital payments, and cybersecurity.
- Proven experience in leading digital transformation projects and launching digital banking products.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as PSD2, GDPR, AML, and KYC.
- Expertise in data analytics, AI, and open banking technologies, and blockchain is a plus.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to drive innovation and digital adoption while ensuring business growth and risk management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Experience working with fintech partnerships, API banking, and cloud-based banking solutions is a plus
- Strong knowledge of customer experience (CX) design and digital marketing strategies is a plus.
Job Purpose
To lead the Banks’ digital strategy with a strong emphasis on business development, growth, and customer adoption. This role will be pivotal in expanding our digital footprint, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth through innovative digital banking solutions.
The ideal candidate is a commercial leader with deep knowledge of the digital financial services landscape, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to transform customer needs into profitable digital products.
Job Responsibilities
1. Digital Strategy & Transformation
• Develop and execute the bank’s digital banking strategy in alignment with business objectives.
• Lead the bank’s digital transformation journey by adopting emerging technologies (e.g., AI…….)
• Ensure a seamless integration between digital banking services and traditional banking channels.
2. Product & Service Innovation
• Oversee the design, development, and enhancement of digital banking platforms (mobile apps, online banking, wallets, etc.).
• Drive innovation in digital financial services, including digital lending, payments, and wealth management.
• Improve UI/UX to enhance customer satisfaction and engagement.
3. Customer Experience & Engagement
• Implement a customer-centric digital banking experience through personalized solutions and AI-driven insights.
• Develop omnichannel strategies to ensure consistency across digital touchpoints.
• Monitor and analyze customer feedback to improve digital offerings.
4. Digital Payments & Transactions
• Lead initiatives in mobile payments, QR code payments, instant transfers, and digital wallets.
• Improve transaction security and streamline digital payment processing.
• Ensure the adoption of seamless digital payment solutions across all customer segments.
5. Compliance, Security & Risk Management
• Ensure all digital banking services comply with financial regulations (e.g., GDPR, PSD2, AML, KYC).
• Strengthen cybersecurity measures and fraud prevention in digital banking channels.
• Work closely with regulatory bodies and internal teams to maintain compliance.
6. Partnerships & Fintech Collaboration
• Identify and develop partnerships with fintech companies, technology providers, and third-party service providers.
• Drive API banking and open banking initiatives to expand digital services.
• Leverage partnerships to enhance innovation and service offerings.
7. Data Analytics & Performance Monitoring
• Utilize data analytics to gain customer insights, optimize services, and drive revenue growth.
• Monitor digital banking KPIs such as customer adoption rates, transaction volumes, and revenue impact.
• Use AI and machine learning for predictive analytics and fraud detection.
8. Team Leadership & Development
• Build, mentor, and manage the digital banking team, including product managers...etc.
• Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and digital excellence.
• Work cross-functionally with IT, marketing, compliance, and operations teams.
9. Revenue Growth & Cost Efficiency
• Identify new revenue streams within digital banking (e.g., subscription-based services, digital lending).
• Optimize digital banking operational costs through automation and efficiency improvements, ensuring ROI and profitability.
• Develop and implement monetization strategies for digital products and services.
10. Reporting & Stakeholder Management
• Prepare and present reports on digital banking performance to senior management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities, financial institutions, and industry partners.
• Advocate for digital banking initiatives within the organization and with external stakeholders.
