1. Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master is preferred).


2. Work Experience, Key Skills & Competencies:

• 2-5 years of experience (specialist/manager) or 6 years of experience (Head level) in credit analysis, risk management, or related fields in the financial services industry, with at least 5 years in a management role.

• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, credit risk modeling, and industry-specific lending practices.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

• Advanced financial modeling and analytical abilities.

• Strong knowledge of banking regulations.

• Ability to handle complex credit structures and negotiations.

• High attention to detail, discretion, and professional judgment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in Khmer, Chinese & English.


Job Purpose

The Credit Specialist/Credit Analysis Manager oversees the assessment of credit and existing clients, ensuring sound lending decisions that align with the organization’s risk appetite and regulatory requirements. This role manages a team of credit analysts, provides guidance on complex credit cases, and collaborates closely with relationship managers, risk teams, and senior management to maintain portfolio quality and mitigate losses.


Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Management

• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of credit analysts.

• Allocate workloads and ensure timely completion of credit assessments.

• Conduct performance reviews and set professional development goals.


2. Credit Assessment

• Review and approve complex credit proposals/application within delegated authority and finalized as Credit Assessment report before summitting to Credit Risk Team of Risk Management Dept.

• Analyze financial statements, industry trends, and macroeconomic conditions to assess borrower creditworthiness.

• Recommend risk mitigation strategies for higher-risk exposures to Credit Risk Team of Risk Management Dept.


3. Policy & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines.

• Participate in the development and refinement of credit assessment policies and procedures.

• Monitor compliance with credit terms and covenants.


4. Portfolio Management

• Oversee periodic portfolio reviews to detect early warning signs of credit deterioration.

• Work with recovery and collection teams to manage delinquent accounts.

• Provide recommendations for write-offs or restructurings.


5. Collaboration & Reporting

• Partner with relationship managers to balance business growth with risk management.

• Prepare credit assessment reports for senior management and regulators.

• Participate as invitee in credit committee meetings and provide expert input.
